If you determine that the NOK is located in a different jurisdiction, determine the contact information for the notifying agency. Contact the notifying agency within that jurisdiction and request that they make an in-person notification.
It is not best practice to make the trauma notification telephonically unless absolutely necessary. Ensure that the local jurisdiction follows the same delivery process but also has you available by phone to provide the NOK with additional information and answer any of their questions.
Identify the jurisdiction for the NOK's location.
Contact that jurisdiction to request in-person notification with a team of two.
