This year, the FBI’s Programs Research and Standards Unit of the Criminal Justice Information Services Division, working with the FBI’s Office of Public Affairs, redesigned the FBI’s biometric specification (FBIBiospecs) website.

The public website is the Bureau’s primary location for biometrics and standards-related information for agencies to successfully transmit data to the Next Generation Identification System.

The new site includes:

• Current and archived versions of the Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification
• The FBI Certified Products List
• Information about the various biometric methods that the CJIS Division supports
